Perfect Size for Carrying Groceries on Your Bike
This product is a net made out of 1/4" bungee cord, with four hooks. The hooks are rubber coated, so they don't scratch, and they have flared tip covers so they won't snag fabrics. The whole assembly weighs just under 4 ounces, and it collapses to about the size of a medium size vitamin bottle, so it's easy to carry everywhere in a backpack without taking up too much room. This net is absolutely ideal for carrying groceries using your mountain bike rack. After trying it with a grocery sack that was half full and seeing that it holds the sack absolutely rock steady, I was ready to put it to the ultimate test. I used it to return from the grocery store about 2 miles away carrying one large doubled (one inside the other) paper grocery sack that was filled right to the top with very heavy items. It held 3 half gallons of milk, two 4 lb steak packages, and two large frozen vegetable packages - 25 lbs worth of food. I put the grocery bag on the mountain rack that...

A good replacement for bungee cords as long as your load is large enough. I find that I still need a smaller bungee cord for littler items.

love this product
looks like very good material. It is a very good size. I had a large rear bike basket and it was able to stretch over the entire basket to keep the stuff inside secure. I really Like the fact there are rubber rounded tips at the end of each hook so it is less likely to scratch or snag on something in case the cord bounces backward or you just accidently loose grip.
Decent Product
I could not give this review 5 stars because the plastic caps on the hooks come off and exposes the metal which rusts. Otherwise, its a good product.
Good quality net
I used this net every day and it is big enough to hold many stuff. The white plastic tip from the hook can came off if they got stock, beside that Topeak products are much better than a no name nets on the market.

Nice idea in concept, but...
I bought one of these last week for carrying things on the back of my bike (I have a carrier mounted over the rear wheel). As one of the other reviewers noted, the four hooks aren't permanently attached to the bungee, there's just a smaller hook where the cord holds it. That might be a good thing, if it gives you more flexibility in moving the hooks. But in my case, as I was riding, I heard a "boing" sound and one of the hooks went flying off somewhere. So I returned the cargo net to the store. If the hooks were permanently attached instead, I'd say this was a great product.
Simple solution for the plastic hooks.
There is a simple solution for the plastic hooks... use caribeaners. You can pick up a set of 4 for less than $5 at any dept. store.
Works for me
Good heavy duty nylon netting but the hooks are plastic and I'm not sure how they will hold up. So far so good. They are fairly thick. The net itself seems a bit big for using with a rear rack alone. My wife has the wald metal folding baskets on her bike and uses the cargo nets for those and they work great.

Bike Bungee Cargo Net
This net is an excellent one-size-fits-all bungee device for securing items on a bike rear rack or side basket setup. The hooks are lightweight, but that could be a plus if you're hauling something heavy to begin with....they're sturdy enough to do the job. The whole thing wraps up into a rather small item when not in use....oughta fit nicely inside a bike seat bag.
Great mesh bungee
This is quite sizable and very durable. Bigger than I pictured. Good for the back of my bike as I like to pack books and misc. for bike rides.
Very good cargo net
Cargo net is very good quality and very strong. Stretching it to its limits is no problem. Perfect size to strap items to my bike rack.Only negative is that the hooks are made of a thick plastic not metal.I`m glad that I purchased this. Very good buy.

What type of luggage have you installed on your Honda Nighthawk 250?

I currently wear a backpack whenever I ride my Nighthawk. I used to use a cargo net to hold a small case on the back, but it scratches the finish. I ride 30 miles a day to/from work at highway speeds, and sometimes take short trips.

Motorcycle helmet questions: 2 of them?

May 08, 2007 by retired | Posted in Motorcycles

1 - When you go into a store (the Mall for example) what do you do with your helmet?
Do you trust that people won't steal it if it's set beside your bike or perhaps in a cargo net? Or do you bring it inside with you? I have a sport bike, so there

Almost all sport bikes have a lock somewhere for the helmet. Usually you can latch it somwhere under the passenger seat and then close the seat. I usually take my helmet with me. It depends on where I am, what area I'm in.

For the eighth straight year, Flax took her students on a bicycle ride before an end-of-the-school-year healthy adventure. This year, it was students from Flax's third-grade classroom at Roosevelt Elementary School in Hays who gathered for a 5-mile bicycle ride along Big Creek's dike in south Hays, then finished it off with a picnic in the park. Thornbridge Day 2

Source: The Mundella Dream Team Blog

After the shower we went in filled ourself up with food and were ready to go. My group had the cargo net first and it was really nervracking, a 30 ft tall piece of netting and a five meter wide piece of wood at the top. After a short break our second activity was bike riding with Mr Scragg. On Day 2 of our residential we got up, as usual, at 7:30 and the people who didn’t have a shower on the first night had a shower. I personally didn’t get to the top but some of us did and it was really funny watching them dance on the top bar. The walk back was really tiring and we returned at about 9:00 pm and the Night line was postponed as it was too late and everybody was shattered....
