When you don't want to pull the hauler...When going away for a weekend, or a month, and you just want the smaller bike without the hassel's of pulling the big hauler, then this hitch mounted rail is for you. I used it to carry my KLR650 and it did it very well. Over two thousand miles of use with no problems whatsoever. Just be certain that your hitch was designed for the load that you intend to carry. Off to the races
Need something safe and secure to haul your dirt bike around, and dont want to give up the space of your suv to buy a truck.This is what you need. Now I can haul my CRF450R to the track on Saturday. Spend the night in the back of my Explore. Then race on Sunday.Hauled the bike once so far,and everything went smooth. Even with 2 less tie downs then recommended. The anti- roll bracket works great. Over all I'am very pleased with Discount Ramps and the AMC 400 bike hauler.CONS: 1) Anti-roll bracket is a bit of a pain to tighten with the wrench given. 2) I think the hauler should be shipped with the hitch pin. Mine was not.(bought a locking pin anyhow)
Sturdy. I can tie a dirt bike by myself. It Works flawlessly.
I use it to carry a 150cc dirt bike every weekend on a 60 mile trip that includes 5 miles of open roads. It works very nice. I believe is not intended for open roads so I don't push it there. I'm an average 40 years old man and I can push my bike into the ramp and tie it without help. Once it's up the ramp, I lean the bike against the truck while I tie it up. It doesn't include straps or a pin for the trailer. When I'm done using it I can carry it on my shoulder and store it in a garage. The bolts to secure the bike broke when tighten to much but I could replace them very easily for shorter ones that resist better the torque. Colombia, South America.
Options for JEEP TJ bumpers? Smittybuilt? DIY?
I could either use my grandpa's stick welder and build my own. Probably out of 3/16 3x4 steel. I have all of the tools and skills(grandpa) but I looked up prices online and it would be like $375 without shipping and I'm sure 180 pounds isn't cheap. Or
Does the $375 bumper also have a tire carrier? If so, I wouldn't expect it to hold up long.
I'm not a real fan of Smittybuilt, their products don't appear to me to have the quality to hold up under daily use. If I were building a street

VW Tiguan will get a facelift in China
Being imported from Germany and then produced on the local market without the more offroad friendly front bumper, the Tiguan made in China was left aside and the imported version was preferred by customers, which made VW consider adding the bumper... With the car becoming more and more popular even though some dealers increased the pricing, the Tiguan will also get a new engine. 4 liter TSI engine will drop the price on the Chinese Tiguan and the entry-level is expected to start at 200. Besides the new offroad friendly front bumper, the Chinese Tiguan will also get a 1. 4 liter petrol TSI engine, which is powering the Golf, Bora and Lavida models, along with the more powerful 1. Volkswagen’s mini SUV, the Tiguan model, will get a facelift for the Chinese auto market.
Audi R8 will get a facelift in 2012
2 liter V10 on the R8 will deliver around 533 BHP, compared to the current 518 BHP, while the entry-level 4. The 2012 R8 is expected to have minor exterior modifications, such as revised headlights, LED tail lights and new bumpers. According to the manufacturer, the 2012 Audi R8 will get a number of subtle styling tweaks, as well as more power from the V8 and V10 engines, a new transmission being also available. Even though the R8 looks like a brand new model after five years in production, the Audi Group has also announced the updating of GT and GT Spyder. The most powerful model build by German car manufacturer Audi, the R8, will get a facelift in 2012.
