1999 Jeep Cherokee SportI was amazed at the price for these lifts. They were on sale plus an extra $5 off for two, plus free shipping. I couldn't touch that price at any of the local auto parts stores for poorly made lifts. They were very easy to install and have been working perfectly in subfreezing temperatures for over a month. The OEM lifts lasted for about 8 years and failed to hold the gate up when it was cold. I should have replaced them a couple of years ago but could not bring myself to spend the $ for a good set of lifts. These lift supports are worth it so far and if they don't work out, they were still worth a try for the price! *Update 10/26/10* Its been about 9 months and these lifts are still working like the day I installed them. Not disappointed!
Very happy with StrongArm lifts
Installed these on a 1999 Jeep XJ Cherokee in about 20 mins start to finish and they work as well or better than the factory lifts that came on the Jeep. Same part number fits both right and left sides, you simply have to flip the upper bracket over on one of them with your finger to have it fit the other side. I will certainly buy this brand again when needed. Standard shipping was very fast and product was delivered in perfect condition.
Works like it should
I just installed these arms in my 99 Jeep Cherokee, and they work great. They push the rear door up very well, and they have the appropriate pressure when you try to close the door. They perform exactly as they supposed to. They are also very easy to install.

Want to customize your XJ? Read this first.Other reviews have already said it better. But this really is the must-buy guide for anyone interested in customizing a Jeep Cherokee XJ. Even if you are experienced with off-road customizations, you'll likely learn a thing or two from this book. The guide is broken down into several different sections each dedicated to a different system and what you might consider upgrading there. Sections include suspension, wheels and tires, steering and brakes, axles and gearing, transfer case, engine and transmission, body upgrades, and skid plates and recovery. The book continues by highlighting several featured Cherokees and describing the various parts and upgrades that went into them, all with detailed color photos. I've already got several new ideas for my own XJ after reading this builder's guide, and have discovered several cost saving alternatives to my original customizing plan. More than I expected!
If you have a mid-sized Jeep Cherokee, you NEED this book, especially if you plan to drive it off-road or plan to modify it! The book is layed out in a logical order and is surprisingly thorough! The pictures are very detailed and there are more of them than I expected. Where Eric got some of the things he has pictured here, I do not know. I'd go so far as to say that if you have a question about any modification or what mods would be appropriate for your driving style, this book will likely have what you need to know before you start. EVEN which models, by year of production, may be appropriate for what you want to do. I was impressed also by the technical things, what to avoid, how to repair, pro's and cons of many mods, manufacturer recommendations, and tips for the install of the components that may otherwise be overlooked by the manufacturer's directions. Overall, I'm impressed with my copy and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is even curious about...

A real piece of junkA real piece of junk. The worst 10 bucks spent in my life. It does not hold anything. Any type of bottles, coffee cup from any brand will not fit and it will be quite dangerous to drive with a beverage in this cup holder, especially if it's a hot beverage, because it will fall down on either your legs or your passenger's 100% of the times! Not to mention the fact that with this cup holder on, you can literally forget about using the emergency brake again. You won't be able to reach it (if a bottle or a coffee cup are sitting in it) and the brake will not pull all the way! I don't know who designed/projected this piece, but he/she was DEFINITELY not the sharpest pencil in the box. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID!!!
Perfect ... in 1990. In 2010, not so much.
I had the cup holder in my 1990 XJ for 4 months until it broke... It gets in the way of the hand brake and met its demise by a hard yank when I parked on an uphill. It won't let the hand brake lift enough to lock the wheels. The only good thing I found about it is that it's made with durable plastic that matches the center console but unfortunately mounts into it poorly. You're better off with one of those one dollar cup holders from the auto store.

Jeep 7 piece set
Floor mats look great, but they are not quite made for a 2001 Wrangler, especially the rear ones. They are a little too big so the edges will folding up. The steering wheel cover is little too small. Someone suggested you place it out in the sun so it will expand to fit. I threw it in the dryer for about 2-3 minutes and didnt have any problem puttin it on. The seat covers are fine. They look good. Looks like the material is not made to last too long, but time will tell. Overall I was happy with my buy.
Great Purchase
The floor mats work and look great on my 98 cherokee. After a little work on the seat covers I got them nice and tight and they look terrific. The steering wheel cover looks and feels great -- I couldn't get it on at first but after 10 minutes in the dryer and some fooling around with it I got it on. Overall I think this is a great value and would definitely recommend this. Also, shipping was very quick and came when it was supposed to (2 days)! Great especially if you have Amazon Prime.

Police identify Missoula motorcyclist killed in weekend crash

Monday, June 13 Day shift A resident of the 500 block of Sunny Side reported that sometime between 5 p. m. June 12 and 6 a. m. June 13, someone damaged a 1976 Jeep Cherokee with a rock while it was parked at the residence. A resident of the 300 block of Camino Real reported that sometime between 9 p. m. June 12 and 6:30 a. m. June 13, someone entered an unsecured open garage and removed a red portable air compressor and a tan baby crib. A resident reported that sometime between 10 a. m. and 11 a. m. , someone removed a purse from an unsecured vehicle while it was parked in the 1300 block of Filipino. I had been following this forum online since 2007 july fiasco & this forum had given me lot of knowledge & helped me out to make the right decission whenever I was underguided or misguided by lawyers (very unfortunate though that we spend a lot on... they thought it is a 3 yr course and denied it. i did education eval and sent them all the semester marksheets, degree certificate (which i had sent in original I140 application as well) again along with the eval. all the hardships i went thru in my engg just flashed thru my eyes when they said they did not find it equivalent to their course done here. I will always try to do my best if my knowledge can help any person like me who falls as a pray in the hands of immigration people. Filed 485 in July 2007. Thanx a lot for your compliment. For october 2008 I will be done with 4 years of H1b....
