Sound deadenerSound deadener/ insulation is a nice add on to your Jeep. It is easy to install and it looks good when installed. The directions are clear and no no guess work. The kit when installed cuts down the heat from the roof when it is hot,hot.
Nice Product
Fast Shipping on the panels!!Received the panels for my 2010 Wrangler- Very easy to install- I do advise that you have someone to assist in the installation to make sure they go on straight.The effect is immediate- Living in Florida- My jeep with the Hardtop was always hot and took longer to cool off- THe panels are keeping the jeep cooler- and takes less time to cool off when starting.The panels are keeping the Jeep quieter- Highway and road noise is drastically reduced.My only desire would potentially be for other color choices- but black is fine as well.Great accessory!
Aesthetically Poor/Doesn't Fit
I'm not sure if this insulation actually "works" or not because I never got passed installing the first panel. The way in which the panels fit into the recessions in the roof panels leaves a sloppy and nasty appearance. The corners are not cut to contour the curves/shape of the roof panels. Where one corner fits well, the opposite corner hangs over and outside of the recessed area. It's amazing that someone would go so far to create such a great concept to improve the ride of your Jeep, but disappointing that the effort is not put into manufacturing them to fit properly.I'll be returning my kit and expecting a full refund.

Good idea but does not fit well
The three piece freedom top on the 2011 Wrangler has recessed areas where the insulation panels are suppose to fit. They do not fit because the panels are too large and are not shaped the same. I cannot imagine anyone would be happy with this product.

Running amp power cable outside of vehicle?
I'm about to order everything to put a new sound system in my Jeep Wrangler and I've been planning the locations to run new wires and cables. I got to looking at the area's where I could run the power cable for the amp and have come to 2 conclusions.
You'll have no problem running the power wire thru frame rails the cable is designed to weather the elements under the hood so it will work under the car just make sure to secure it solidly in as many places possible so it can't droop and snag on road

These vehicles have improperly placed wiring, in the sliding doors, which can have the insulation stripped off them. During normal driving, the front fender liner can rub against brake lines. Over time, the rubbing could cause the brake lines to leak which would result in reduced stopping power. If this happens, two stripped wires can touch each other and start a fire.
