Improved gas mileage 1-2 mpgReceived K&N air filter for '08 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4x4. After replacing original equipment air filter went on a 1K mile trip and recorded slight improvement in performance and 1-2+ mpg increase. Best 'low dollar' aftermarket purchase yet on the Jeep! I've got K&N air filters on all of my vehicles. Amazon.com was, as usual, the best place to purchase.
K&N always a great buy!
You won't be disappointed buying this; that is, unless your expectations are too high. I own a 2010 Jeep Rubicon. I have noticed a 1 mile per gallon gain on fuel efficiency - not much, but it's something. The biggest difference is the increase in power, especially at higher RPMs. I can describe a Jeep with many words - "fast", however is not one of them. Don't expect this air filter to turn your Wrangler into a Porsche.If you use your Wrangler the way it was designed (offroad; not carting children to soccer practice), this air filter will be a great buy. Increased air flow = quicker pedal response. Quicker pedal response = more efficient traction. More efficient traction = less likely to "slip" and tumble down a mountain. In addition, it's insanely easy to clean. Never buy an air filter again. To clean, I flush with water, use an air hose to dry, and lube with the K&N oil (inexpensive). It's that easy.
You Can't Go Wrong
You can never go wrong with a K&N product, at least I've never had any issues. After installing this filter I went for a drive and right away I noticed added acceleration. I filled up the tank, so now I'll track my MPG's to see the difference. On the average I get 19-21mpgs in my Wrangler, which isnt bad but more is always good!

If I could give this 6 stars I would!If I could give this 6 stars I would. I was skeptical at what kind of a difference this could make - but it does! My JK is no longer sluggish and the shifting is smoother. Gas milage has also improved. I use it on regular octane set up, but also tried 93 octane set up - didn't need that much extra pickup - but I'll use that when loaded down. Great product and worth every $.
Great Tuner for Jeep Wrangler 2010
This tuner works! I live on a hill and now I don't have to use the overdrive button in the middle console just to maintain speed going up the hill. The vehicle shifts when it is suppose to now. It fixed the transmission programming and throttle response. The shipping of this product was fast and packaging was sufficient.

Does what it's advertised to do for my 2009 Jeep Wrangler. It has 5 programs including 4-low, towing & three for performance. I choose the middle 91 octane program (87, 91, & 93) which stated an increase of 15 horsepower & 24 ft/lbs of torque. The difference was like night & day. I should say that here in Colorado we have 85, 87 & 91 octane fuels & I've been using 87 instead of 91 & it's worked great with no engine knocking or pinging. I initially bought the Hypertech E-Con product but found it to have less options & less performance. The main issue with any programmer is that if your vehicle is still under warranty, you must return it to the factory program before taking it to the dealer for service. This only takes 10-15 minutes. I've seen people write that the dealer can detect what you're doing, but I've had my Jeep at the dealer three times in the last month, changing the program each time, and nothing has been said. But they also said nothing about my turbo exhaust (+12...

Good idea, but ...I have a soft foot on the gas pedal. My wife, on the other hand, is a leadfoot. I purchased this to provide a constant reminder for her.It was easy enough to install in my 2010 Toyota Corolla. Plug it in and away we go. Since my wife usually drives during the daytime, I set the brightness to the highest of four settings and placed the gauge on the dashboard directly in front of the driver's seat.The first problem was obvious immediately - one cannot read the meter in sunlight; the LEDs are not bright enough. I relocated the meter under the dashboard in front of the instrument panel. That location was OK when the sun didn't hit it, but when the sun did, which was about half the time, one could not read it. Sadly, the "constant reminder" wasn't reminding anyone.The second problem appeared after about two weeks. The "Radial Fuel Efficiency Graph" normally returns to one LED when stopping at a traffic light. However, on occasion it would stop at...
Works Well, Great Way to Get Feedback On Your Car
This is a great little product. Installation was super easy. It took longer for me to figure out how to hide the cable then it did to actually start using it. It was pretty much plug and play in my 2012 car. I need to run through a couple of fill ups to validate the accuracy, but so far it seems to be pretty close already.It comes with a small rubber foot piece that goes around the bottom of the unit. I recommend gluing this in place the day before you do your installation. Mine got dropped behind the dash never to be seen again. The velcro mounting seems surprisingly strong.The faceplate is a glossy surface, but so are most gauges in cars these days. I quickly learned that angling the unit towards the driver eliminates glare in almost every situation. Hi, I am thinking to install a K&N cold air intake in my 98 jeep wrangler to improve mpg. the air intake cost around $300. assume gas price is $3/g and my jeep average mpg is 15. if the air intake can improve 1 mpg, then the gas it save will pay it
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but:
To go from 15 mpg to 16 mpg, you'll need to put another 25,000 miles on the Jeep before your $300 investment pays for itself. -17 mpg = 12,500 miles ... -18mpg = 9,100 miles

Decisions, Decisions
It drives low and fast like the Civic and old Silver Belle (Mustang) and has better gas mileage than the Jeep, but not quite as good as the Civic. The MPG is crap but its so darn fun to drive – except I don’t see much off-roading as long as I live in Miami. Anyways, I’ve got it narrowed down to three options: a Jeep Wrangler, a Honda Civic (preferably EX) and a Mazda3. I’m pretty sure it would outlast the other two options and it’s cute on the outside, but not so cute on the inside, although I like the digital displays on the dashboard. I’ve been lusting after a yellow wrangler with a black top ever since I sold my mustang. The Civic is pretty close to the perfect car. I’ve finally pulled the trigger and decided its time for a new car. I really like the more recent model with the “smiling” grill and the interior is pretty bad ass. It’s super safe, has awesome gas mileage and also has a high resale value. It’s easy to fix and customize with aftermarket parts and holds its resale value really well....
