Fix the Boring Tail LightsI recently purchased/installed these tail light guards on my Jeep Wrangler JK.Aside from being incredibly simple to install (replace factory screws with included longer screws), they look very nice and are crafted from a pretty tough metal.We all know that these guys aren't really going to protect your tail light, aside from maybe a stick or two.I mean face it, if you have backed into a wall/huge tree/boulder enough to hit your tail lamps, you probably aren't going to explain, "Oh no! My tail lights!"You will likely be concerning yourself with your now mangled rear-door and wheel mount, or the fact that you just crunched your corner panels.What it does do though is make the tail light assemblies much more rugged looking, and they nicely trim the rear of the Jeep.The factory tail lamps are a bit plain compared to the rest of the vehicle, this is a perfect (and relatively cheap) way to remedy that...~Rusty
Adds A Nice Look and A Little Protection
These are a very simple addition that makes the tail lights on the jk wrangler much better looking. I believe they also add a bit more protection than most people give them credit for. The contacts that they make are the best spot on the tail light to transfer energy away from the lens.

If you are looking at an easy upgrade for the cosmetics to seperate your rig from many others in the same parking lot, then this is the item for you. The install is up front and simple. The outcome looks bold and burly with function. Product arrived in prestige condition and unlike many other items now a days, the holes actually lined up directly. The tools required are a philips medium head and a needle nose pliers to assist in holding the spacers. There are two different lengths of screws for each side due to fixture thickness as the body curves which constitutes why there are two different screw sets.

Looks GreatI bought these guards because I like the way they look on my Jeep. I have a hard time believing any claims that they actually protect the lights against anything. Well, maybe if you were backing up into some sort of spear and managed to be lucky enough to hit one of the horizontal bars instead of the plastic lens... in that case, okay. But aside from that very specific situation, I don't see them helping much. Here's why I feel that way:They mount to the lights by replacing the four screws on the light face with four slightly longer screws. You have basically attached a hard metal object onto a more fragile surface (the plastic lens) for protection. I think of it like gluing a quarter onto a piece of glass: Hit the naked glass with a hammer, the glass will break. Glue a quarter onto the glass and hit the quarter with a hammer, the glass will still break. I bought this item strictly for aesthetic purposes, and I'm not disappointed! Super fast shipping from Amazon.com as always is a great plus. The guards were a cinch to put on.....you don't need any mechanical know how to do it. I would definitely recommend these to anyone!
jeep wrangler unlimited '10
Ordered product for my '10 jeep wrangler to add that extra flare. They were here within a week and just what I needed. Install was all too easy as everything is provided except a Phillips screwdriver...so easy a cave man could do it. Install was less than 10 mins and they make the jeep look awesome!!!

Will not fit Jeep Sahara models unless you permanently remove grey bumper cover. Smooth transaction. Shipping took a bit long.

Construction is solid. To bad they don't fit your Jeep as advertised. I had to modify my Jeep to get them to fit and it was a real pain. Bottom line, installation is more difficult than it should be.

Looks good, easy fit.Got these for my 2009 JK. They look great and go on real fast. No drilling or other mods needed. They are made out of heavy duty metal with strong welds.

Always learned when buying Jeep parts on Amazon to cross reference the part number to a Jeep site like Quadratec to make sure its the right one that fits. General Motors, the brand’s parent, said an improperly torqued... “This could result in a loss of ability to brake and possible crash without prior warning,” the automaker told the safety agency. Alan Adler, a G. M. spokesman, wrote in an e-mail that the problem was discovered at the assembly plant and that the automaker did not know of any “complaints, crashes or injuries” related to the problem. It was the second recall this week for G. M. Earlier, the automaker said it would recall about 38,000 of its 2008-9 Pontiac G8 sedans.
