Effective, looks good, easy installation
I have had this item for several months now, and I finally got around to posting a review. The flat windshield style of the Jeep Wrangler is a magnet for bugs, and I chose this deflector for the price, styling, and the installation method. I preferred the use of screws over adhesive for the assurance that the item would not come loose over time. It definitely cuts down on the bug splatters, but it's not 100% effective. I would say that it is probably 60%-70% effective in keeping the bugs off the windshield.I would have rated the item higher, but Jeep, like most companies, could do a better job with the installation instructions. If anyone has put together Idea furniture, these instructions were quite similar. However, I was mystified by the 3 yellow dot stickers on the deflector and removed them before I realized that they were there to align the rubber bumpers that keep the deflector from flattening at higher speeds. Looks and Works Great.
This Jeep air deflector does exactly what you would hope it to do.No longer do I have to drive by peeking through the clean areas between the mass genocide of bugs that was my front windshield.Now they just fly up and over the roof, granted you will still hit some of the larger ones... but that's part of the charm of a Jeep.I would say that this product reduced the insect explosions on my windshield by about 80% or more...Add to that the fact that it really does look nice on the front of the Jeep, and was very easy to install with just a few included screws.Good price, durable, easy installation, looks great - Five stars~Rusty

Jeep wrangler front air deflector
This deflector looks great. You can tell that is was made for this vehicle. Very easy to install. Took about half an hour. I do recommend this to any one looking to buy one.

Great
I put it on an '07 Jeep JK, hard top. It fit well, looks decent, and helps with baffling when the top is off. Just make sure you practice placement first, and get it right the first time, cause there's no redo's with the adhesive- it sticks.

Turns your soft top into a bass drum
Although this product reduced the whistling nose coming from the leading edge of my soft top, it created another problem - it turned my soft top into a bass drum. Somehow, when the wind gets re-directed by this product, it causes the front of the soft top to vibrate. It vibrates so much so that it sounds just like a bass drum in a band, which is now more annoying than the other noise I was trying to get rid of.I spoke to tech support at the Jeep after-market parts place where I bought it, and they said it is only meant for open top Wranglers to re-direct the wind over the cab. Huh? What if you need to put the top up? I would like to play around with the placement of it, but unfortunately, it uses SUPER strong industrial tape for attachment. So now to return it, I have to pry it off and figure out how to remove the residue. :(It also makes the removal of the soft top a more difficult.Otherwise, it's easy to install (make SURE you have another person...
