Satified Customer Here!I was a little cautious on making this purchased based on a few reviews that I read about it, however the complaints just didn't seem too convincing. I would agree that if you know little about installing car alarms, radios, electronic devices, etc. that you will have a tough time with the installation based on the documentation, but then again why would you even attempt to install this item if you have no experience with alarms, related products, or just common sense and a little time to run a process of elimination test. If you do decide to tackle this installation the documentation gives you very clear detailed diagram of the alarm and all of its components. the only thing that it doesn't tell you is were certain wires are located on your vehicle, for example, it tells you hook this color wire to your ignition switch, but doesn't tell you were your ignition switch wire is on your vehicle, what color wire it is, etc. if you have a wiring diagram of your vehicle you are set to...
Electronic diamond in the rough
This model of security system is extremely functional, has all of the amenities that you'd expect with a modern alarm, and incorporaes easily into your modern vehicles preexisting wiring system. The installation instructions are easy to follow, and the options are programmable. Even if you lose your remote this unit can be programmed through a code search if necessary. Worth far more than the cost of this security system by far.
DX370 Auto Alarm System
For the price the DX370 auto alarm has a lot of features that make it a desireable purchase.. It has all the wiring and componants you'd expect. The wiring diagram is precise and covers every connection clearly. However the instruction manual lost somethings in the translation. The anti-carjacking feature has three modes and mine went uninstalled because I couldn't understand the message it was conveying.. I would recommend this unit for those that have installed alarms before. Just don't read the deescription of how it functions.

A great car alarmI just had this alarm installed recently and I must say I works great. All the features work as advertised and having the two-way remote is great for added security and peace of mind. I haven't tested the range of the remote yet but it works fine from across a large parking lot. I definitely recommend buying this alarm from Amazon and having it installed professionally. You will save probably $100 over buying it from the shop that installs it.
Amazing Deal
Bought this alarm last week and I have to say that it's a pretty decent deal. Same alarm would go for around double the price in any store and that doesn't include installation! Everything works and no problems were noticed. The alarm arrived in less then 2 days, so that was great. Have it professionally installed if you do not have experience installing alarms. Overall great product and highly recommended.
Great product
At first, I was skeptical to purchase this online from Amazon. I didn't want to pay anything more than what I had to for installation. The product came with everything I needed for installation. The product is great! The 2-way remote is kind of bulky and takes up space on your keychain but if you're paranoid like me and always wonder if you locked your doors or not, it is the greatest invention ever. It shows you that your car is either locked or not locked. That way you do not have to walk all the way back to your car to check if the car is locked.

Worth The MoneyInstalling the alarm system is simple. You just have to plan out what features you want to install. Use Relays!! Read! Read! Read! If you don't have a wiring diagram for your vehical,get one. Guessing can be Very Costly. Have it installed. Well worth the money.

I am generally very pleased with this product. I am no mechanic, but I have done various types of wiring on a car (stereo, fog lights, subwoofers, rewiring of OEM systems, etc.). This was obviously more in depth than any normal stereo installations. For me, the installation took a little longer than expected (7-8 hours). This was due in part to various distractions, lack of proper tools to dissemble/reassemble my vehicle's dash and other components, and time spent researching some wiring diagrams for my '96 Jeep Cherokee. Once installed, however, this product works amazingly (as one would expect for a system that originally costs $270). It starts the engine up without any overstart/grinding and kills the engine quickly when asked to. The siren is fairly audible and the system outputs to the horn when the alarm is triggered for that extra attention. I would definitely recommend getting all relevant wiring diagrams for your vehicle and necessary tools together before starting the...

The Crimestopper SP-400 Alarm with Remote Start and Keyless entry system is a great product. I am extremely satisfied with the performance and quality of the product. It would be difficult to install if you do not have any electrical experience in the Automotive field. If you do not have any experience, I would suggest to get it installed by a professional. I am a Auto mechanic, so I have access to vehicle wiring diagrams. I wish they had a more detailed wiring diagram with the product, the basics are there, but if you are not familiar with the vehicle you are wiring, it will be difficult. But, I am very satisfied with the finished product installed, it also came at a great price. I would definitely recommend this product to others. Thank You, Crimestopper.
I bought a remote start engine car alarm system for $500. How much for installation?
How much would it cost me to send it to Best Buy, Circuite City or any other place to have them install it. The alarm system starts my car, pops trunk, window roll up, etc. Can you give me an estimate of what you think it would cost?

is it possible to install a car alarm and central locking system seperately?
Im trying to save cost when hiring someone to install it my car alarm system. Ive been looking around and it seems that you can only get installation service if you buy the car alarm system off them which makes sense of youre trying to make good money.
don't change your central locking system when the alarm is installed it will control the door locks you have and the alarms remote will function just fine even if you did not lose your original remote it would not matter once the new alarm system is installed

How to control an electric garage door lock from an Elk M1 (or other) system
I removed the bolt from the garage door opener and installed the unit on the workshop garage door that does not have an opener due to overhead space constraints. I tapped in to the bolt wiring and operated the garage door opener with a digital O Scope connected. The device operates on 13vdc from the operator and draws about 1. The pulse is so quick that it was hard to get an exact maximum reading so give your self a little wiggle room with the amperage estimates. This one even came with the two ¼x20 button head screws (the website said screws not included) and a template for easy mounting. I temporarily hooked up the replacement unit to the existing garage door operator.
