I was a little cautious on making this purchased based on a few reviews that I read about it, however the complaints just didn't seem too convincing. I would agree that if you know little about installing car alarms, radios, electronic devices, etc. that you will have a tough time with the installation based on the documentation, but then again why would you even attempt to install this item if you have no experience with alarms, related products, or just common sense and a little time to run a process of elimination test. If you do decide to tackle this installation the documentation gives you very clear detailed diagram of the alarm and all of its components. the only thing that it doesn't tell you is were certain wires are located on your vehicle, for example, it tells you hook this color wire to your ignition switch, but doesn't tell you were your ignition switch wire is on your vehicle, what color wire it is, etc. if you have a wiring diagram of your vehicle you are set to...

Electronic diamond in the rough
This model of security system is extremely functional, has all of the amenities that you'd expect with a modern alarm, and incorporaes easily into your modern vehicles preexisting wiring system. The installation instructions are easy to follow, and the options are programmable. Even if you lose your remote this unit can be programmed through a code search if necessary. Worth far more than the cost of this security system by far.

DX370 Auto Alarm System
For the price the DX370 auto alarm has a lot of features that make it a desireable purchase.. It has all the wiring and componants you'd expect. The wiring diagram is precise and covers every connection clearly. However the instruction manual lost somethings in the translation. The anti-carjacking feature has three modes and mine went uninstalled because I couldn't understand the message it was conveying.. I would recommend this unit for those that have installed alarms before. Just don't read the deescription of how it functions.

more trouble than its worth
seemed like a good product, though inexpensive. i bought my first crimestopper back in 1990. had this one in about a week when it went off by itself for no apparent reason. then i would come out of a resturant and find it had gone off. i had the sensitivity turned almost all the way down. it got to where i would see it arm and disarm by itself. perhaps the frequency it uses is too commonly used. ive disconnected it. a waste of $40 cash and about 20 headaches.

Very pleased
First time I installed a car alarm and it wasnt easy. But after some pain and suffering, I got a great alarm in my car now. The range on it is way better than I thought and it doesnt even have an antenna, I mean I can be so far away that I can barley hear it chirp. If you just want a one way alarm, dont spend anything more get this one. The only bad thing I can say about it is the siren sound is a lil old school, but its the easiest thing to replace if you want a diff one but I really could care less, its loud and tells people to f off. I was about to spend a hundred on the viper 3002 but glad I didnt.

Easy
This alarm was a snap to install. Has a lot of features for the price. I bought it for the keyless entry feature and had to buy a couple additional $5 relays to make the keyless work. A very reasonable price for what I received.

Awesome product and seller!
I was surprised with the functionalities or features of this 2-way car alarm system with remote starter. I was able to installed it successfully and was very happy with the product. It wasn't easy to install and need a lot of research since this is my first time I'm installing an alarm system to my Toyota 4Runner 1997. The price is really a great deal, I can't find as low as this one with cool functionalities. I'm planning on buying another one for my 4Runner 2008 model. If you are planning to install it by yourself you need to read the manual very careful and find more help in the internet because of the complexity. Youtube is a good resource and finding the wire color coding for your specific car in the internet will be a great help! Overall this product is awesome and I highly recommended! Not to forget the seller, the item was delivered fast and the product is in good condition. Thank you!!!

Remote start ready
I have bought this item with the idea of starting my car remotely only to find out that I need a module to do so. Im not bashing the device, just saying that I thought all the things necessary would of come with it seeing that they had WITH REMOTE START on their box. It would of been helpful if they had recommendations for modules or a website with an in-dept manual about the remote feature but now I have this alarm WITH OUT remote start... and it pisses me off! Updated Sorry as I did not know a bypass module was needed for cars with a sensor in the key. The alarm is loaded with features and operates very well. I hope my ignorance did not steer potential buyers else where but as for this alarm; this is a winner.

Worth The Money
Installing the alarm system is simple. You just have to plan out what features you want to install. Use Relays!! Read! Read! Read! If you don't have a wiring diagram for your vehical,get one. Guessing can be Very Costly. Have it installed. Well worth the money.

Excellent
I am generally very pleased with this product. I am no mechanic, but I have done various types of wiring on a car (stereo, fog lights, subwoofers, rewiring of OEM systems, etc.). This was obviously more in depth than any normal stereo installations. For me, the installation took a little longer than expected (7-8 hours). This was due in part to various distractions, lack of proper tools to dissemble/reassemble my vehicle's dash and other components, and time spent researching some wiring diagrams for my '96 Jeep Cherokee. Once installed, however, this product works amazingly (as one would expect for a system that originally costs $270). It starts the engine up without any overstart/grinding and kills the engine quickly when asked to. The siren is fairly audible and the system outputs to the horn when the alarm is triggered for that extra attention. I would definitely recommend getting all relevant wiring diagrams for your vehicle and necessary tools together before starting the...

Great product!!!
The Crimestopper SP-400 Alarm with Remote Start and Keyless entry system is a great product. I am extremely satisfied with the performance and quality of the product. It would be difficult to install if you do not have any electrical experience in the Automotive field. If you do not have any experience, I would suggest to get it installed by a professional. I am a Auto mechanic, so I have access to vehicle wiring diagrams. I wish they had a more detailed wiring diagram with the product, the basics are there, but if you are not familiar with the vehicle you are wiring, it will be difficult. But, I am very satisfied with the finished product installed, it also came at a great price. I would definitely recommend this product to others. Thank You, Crimestopper.
