Great jack and safety jack stands
I bought two of these from Tractor supply for $29.99 each and another $9 total for shipping. Used them to change my oil and rotate the tires, they work great, easy to lift my F150 4x4 extended cab and felt safe under the truck with the self locking jack stands. Easy to release to get them out too, comes with two handles on each jack for letting them down and jacking them up. Very satisfied, would highly recommend over a regular bottle jack, plus it's 3 tons!
Awesome but...tisk tisk Amazon
Tractor Supply sells this Jack for $30 Bucks. I bought it today. Works great, but make sure you can store it in your truck. Its bulky. Shame on you Amazon for making people pay over 60 bucks for this jack.
3 TON BOTTLE JACK
Bought this jack online through Amazon, Placed the jack on the floor of my garage and noticed a puddle of hydralic fluid around the base of the jack. The leak appeared to be comming from a threaded pipe inserted into the base of the jack. Left a permenant stain a my garage floor. Not happy about that. Could not reach manufacture, called several times only to be left hanging on the phone for hours. Also e-mailed them and recieved no reply. Would not recommend this product!!! Do not purchase this Item!!

Bad start, great finish.....................
This is for everyone who gave this quad a bad review because the charge does not last more then five minutes or less. I purchased this dirt quad for my 8-year-old son and like some of you I was quite disappointed with the quad's charge longevity. The quad did not last five minutes before my son was wheeling it back into the garage for a charge, and it was brand new! At first I thought like the rest of you who experienced this same problem, "It was just an expensive piece of junk". But I noticed when the battery went dead and we put it on charge the light on the charger would go from red to green in just a few minutes, a lot less then the recommended charge time. So I figured maybe the charger was no good. Luckily we also own the Razor go-cart, which uses the same charger and always worked great. So I swapped out the chargers but the go-cart still charged fine. And the charger on the quad still turned from red to green in just a few minutes and still died out fast. So I went to Razor's...
Impressed
I've seen my share of wheeled toys, and was positively impressed with the quality of this product. It has a solid frame, suspension, regular inflated tires. I'm not afraid that after a few days of use it will break, given the rough use it will get of kids at that age. I took it for a short test drive myself, and the motor was strong enough to move and adult uphill. The shipping takes a bit longer and you have to be home to receive it. But it takes 2 people to lift the crate it comes in, so home delivery is worth the convenience. I think the only design change I'd like to see is a reverse mode. The motor control only allows forward, which if you have to turn-around in a tight space can be tricky. But that's a minor issue overall. Update (5/28): This ATV has seen a lot of use in the last few weeks, including many sliding wheel stunts, etc. After one particularly heavy right it stopped working with a blown fuse and control box. The one thing which...
is it a toy, or is it the real thing?
This is no plastic ride-on toy like Powerwheels or Pegro. It has a welded steel frame, rear suspension (with adjustable pre-tension), a rear cross-drilled disc brake (operated by hand), a 350W brushed DC motor with a pulse width modulated motor controller, a weatherproof power switch and charge port, and a low battery indicator on the throttle. This ride is metal, so it is heavy with dual 12V batteries. Two adults can easily lift it into a truck though. The tires are pneumatic rubber tires - wheel barrow or hand truck variety (easy to replace). The wheels are steel and use precision ball bearings. Without the clatter of plastic tires all you hear is the humming motor and some chatter from the chain drive; what a relief from plastic on gravel :-). The steering has real tie-rod ends and adjustable alignment. The steering is linear but will make very sharp turns lock to lock. The grip throttle is a real throttle... You can make the quad bike creep along at a...

Fabulous gift!
I have given this as a gift twice, and both times it was tremendously apprciated. All of the individual components of this set are absolute TOP QUALITY. I can't emphasize that point enough - I have seen other 'sets' of various items that skimp on component quality. It is also very compact for easy storage under a seat or in the trunk. It is amazing how much utility is engineered into such a small space. I was VERY IMPRESSED with this set. I will make the suggestion that this is a great gift for commuting working women (wives, sisters, mothers best friends...) Also would make a great gift for a teenager buying their first car. It says "I respect your independence, and want you have the tools to deal with contingencies on the road... I care about your safety." I mention this because it came up as a gift recommendation for 'men that have everything' and this it is appropriate for a much wider profile of people. Frankly, I might consider this as an off-beat baby shower gift, even, if...
Overpriced ?
I would urge caution and price up the items individually - You will be able to save much money by buying them as seperates, even with the 50% off offer ! (Feb 2006)
Nice Set
This is a very compact set considering how much is inside, fits under any seat. Price is not bad when you look at everything together in the set. Only problem is with the Exchange a blade saw, it's handle is very cheap plastic and have no idea where to get more blades for it. Other than that all the others are good and have stood the test of time.

My 3rd Garmin - New Features and how they worked
This is my 3rd Garmin GPS. I have become accustomed to their user interface and performance, so I can't compare to other makes. I wanted to talk about the new features that attracted me to this unit and how I evaluated their usefulness on my first 3 hour road trip to a location I know by heart.Feature 1 - 5 inch screen. I am older and am having to use reading glasses to see the GPS mounted to the dash. My earlier unit was a 4 inch. I considered a 7 inch Magellan, but when I found out you couldn't install custom POIs on the Magellan, it ruled that one out for me. We go camping frequently and I have all the state parks as custom POIs. I also have truck stops I like to use. The 5 inch display was definately an improvement for me.Feature 2 - Automated voice recognition. I definately don't like being distracted by touching the screen to see how far the next roadside rest is (see custom POIs above). So I thought telling the GPS what I wanted made a lot of sense. When...
Why I bought a Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT
Why I bought a Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT. I have owned many voice command systems in my car from both Magellan and Garmin. I use my gps in my car and in my truck when pulling my 5th wheel. I had a Magellan Maestro 4050 with voice command since 2008 and decided to look around for a new one with a few more bells and whistles. I spent a week solid reading reviews and was ready to buy a Nuvi 3490LMT but kept on reading about software issues and after trying on at BestBuy didn't see it worth $400 for a few additional features. With that in mind I looked back to Magellan Roadmaster 1700 and a 4700 and even the 5175 Traveller and just couldn't find one that had the features I wanted. So back to Garmin I looked and found out that The Nuvi 2595LMT had everything I like and needed and was $150 less than the NUVI 3490LMT.What I liked in the Nuvi 2595LMT 5" screen Voice Commands Speaks street names, turn by turn One button to save and name a...
A valuable upgrade from Garmin
Most of the reviews here are for the 2595, not the 2555 that I purchased. I didn't need voice activation or bluetooth so the 2555 is just fine for me.I have to disagree with the reviewer that says it is slow to find where you are. I am a long-time Garmin user and I think it is light years faster than my old Nuvi model. Although some of the new features are a little difficult to get used to I still think this unit deserves the highest marks. The larger screen alone makes it worth an upgrade from an older unit. It's also great to have lifetime maps and traffic upgrades. Again, that gives this model high marks. My favorite feature on the 2555 is the categorization of places you would like to go. For example, on my old unit I used to have search for and then type in "REST A" to find the next rest area on my route. With the 2555 "Rest Area" is a category and therefore only a couple of button presses away.In summary, I am a happy consumer who is...

What kind of engine is best for off-road vehicles such as Dirt bikes and ATVs?

What kind of engine is best for offroad vehicles such as Dirtbikes and ATV's? 2 stroke or 4 stroke? And why?

usually, on mini bikes, they use 2 stoke 49cc engines. this is because the 2 stoke accelerates faster because of: A two stoke engine is litterally 2 strokes. the plan is: compression, expansion, that is two storkes. one to put the fuel and air in, then

Mountain View had previously only been a faraway figment in our imaginations, our young malleable minds enticed by John Wambu by promises of hyenas, zebras, and the opportunity to scale authentic African rocks. At approximately 9:38 am, we approached our noble, rusty carriage with only one goal in mind: to master Mountain View.   Our breakfast was scrumptious as always and a fine tribute to the beginning of an African day, consisting of peanut butter and jelly chapatti and a soothing mixture of chai and watered down coffee. =) The day started like many others that had come before, only altered by the slight nip in the air upon stepping through our metal, oddly locking doors. our freinds from the Texas A&M- Aggies for Christ who have been our companions here at MITS for the past 3 weeks summarized our last day together SO well that i see no other option than to plagiarize their blog....

Richmond Bike Laws Zine!

Source: The Wingnut

The Wingnut Anarchist Collective has just finished a zine with information on Bike Laws in the state of Virginia, as well as general tips, and information about Critical Mass Bike Rides. We see knowing bike laws as going hand in hand with the Know Your Rights type of work that we do with Richmond Copwatch. Our re-publication of these laws does NOT mean that we support all of these laws or are making any sort of ethical judgement about them one way or the other. Most of the content of this zine is based on the laws about riding bikes in Virginia found on the VDOT website. We think it is important for all bike riding people to know these laws so that they can assert their rights. info/richmond-bike-laws-zine. It is meant to be a reference and guide for all people who ride bikes in the city of Richmond. This zine is a creation of the Wingnut Anarchist Collective in Richmond, Virginia....
