Great control and exercise
I have two dog-aggressive rescue dogs that were not getting their exercise because they were so difficult to walk. I bought this product (elsewhere) but am very pleased with it. I do try to stay very aware when I am biking them (walking one of them I have become completely airborne I have been yanked so hard - so that helps me pay attention!). Also I want to make sure the dog is comfortable, so I monitor the tautness of the attachment. When we go near another dog and there is a problem I bike a bit faster to maintain control.I think this is a wonderful product - but yes, you should absolutely stay aware of your surroundings and your dog. (Sorry to hear that the other reviewer had such a bad time of it.)
Not as good as it should be
I've owned the Springer dog jogger for about 8 months. I use it almost daily but there are important things a buyer needs to know before buying one. First, the bracket did not fit on the seat post as the directions offered...and I have a basic, common Schwinn. I had to put it on the bike frame, but it still required more plastic sleeves and an additional piece of rubber to get it to fit securely. (I followed the directions to the letter). Plan on tightening some of the bolts after every use for the first 10 to 15 times. The included plastic clip that attached to my dog's collar FAILED, allowing him to run into the middle of a busy four lane street. So, plan on replacing that part with something more substantial. I replaced the harness that came with it, because the quality of it was questionable. With all these things said, it is a great way to exercise your dog and the spring does absorb your dog's lunges very well. My dog loves going for "Springer runs." The manufacturer needs to...
two things to consider
I just used the Springer Bike Leash for the first time today. Two things to know...if you have a small dog (like mine who's 22lbs and 15 1/2 inches at the shoulder)you have to bike pretty slow. The dog will get exercise but you won't get too much. This product probably works alot better for a bigger dog.Second thing--assembly instructions say to use contact glue. I tried this and it didn't work. I unassembled the unit and used Liquid Nails. That seemed to work alot better but the clamp still rotates backward somewhat when the dog lags while on the leash.

Very good product
It seems to me a very good choice, Hard, good paint. You can atach the painners at the sides of the rack, and in the top, the sleeping bag, a mattress or something elseIt also hace a special atach point for your RED BACK LIGHTA very very helpfull accesory for your bike when you travelPAY ATENTION if you need it For DISC BRAKES BIKE or NOT, there is a diference in the way you atach it to the bike and also in the PRICE There are two models, almost exactly the sameBe carefull!!!
good rack, MTX is cool, but there are better if you don't need MTX
If you need a rack for your bike, this appears to be a decent rack. However, I honestly have to say that it's not quite as nice as my old Bontrager "Back Rack 2" that this one is replacing. Let's start with the good:- STURDY. My old rack only had two vertical supports, this one has three. Feels much more substantial. That's bad if you're a weight weenie, but good if you want to carry stuff and feel secure that it's not going anywhere.- MTX track system is awesome. This is the whole reason that I got this rack, so that I could use a Topeak trunk bag. This is also one of those good/bad things however, as the Topeak trunk bag forces you to use the Topeak rack - there are no attachments on the Topeak trunk bag at all other than the MTX rail (if they still included velcro tie-downs, you could strap it to *any* rack, which would be nice if you had more than one bike, wanted to loan it to a friend, etc.) I haven't actually used it yet (so I'm holding off on...
Great rack but check your bike first
I love this rack. Sturdy as all heck once installed properly. Unfortunately I didn't realize the rack was made for bikes with seat stays which my Trek didn't have. After a couple of trips to the local outdoor store, I finally stopped by a proper bike shop and picked up a Blackburn Monostay Rack Adapter. It took me nearly an hour to get everything properly installed but once installed the rack didn't move. I use this rack with a Topeak DX bag (with panniers). The bag has QuickTrack and is super-sturdy on this rack. Highly recommended.

A Running Christmas Tree!
I bought this vest to be seen while running in the dark, early morning hours here in the PacNW. When I first put it on and turned on the lights, my 5 year-old exclaimed with all the innocent admiration of a 5 year-old, "Mom! You look like a Christmas Tree!" This vest is so bright, it lights up the reflective street signs ahead of me. I figure if I get hit while wearing this vest, the driver meant to hit me, and my family can sue big time. I hope that it might also frighten away any of the larger wildlife that are resident in the area. On the down side, it is a little stiff, and for my small frame (size 6) a little large, even with everything in as snug as it can go. I had to sew the overlap at the sides in place so it would stay without flapping around. It took a couple of runs to get used to wearing it, but now it doesn't bother me. Anyway, it does the job very well--worth the money I spent, and I don't feel nervous about getting hit along the dark, rural roadways I run along.
Good for Night Runners.....
I bought this vest because I like to run and I tend to do so after dark. Not only is it effective in letting drivers know where you are, it alse serves are a decent lantern if it is completely dark and you need to see where you're going so you don't twist an ankle. The only issue I have with it is that it is a little bulky if you have a smaller frame. Also, while it is light weight, it's not weightless. It won't slow you down but it does take some getting used to if you are used to running unhindered.Having such effective reflective gear is worth any damper this would put on your workout. Also, you can use it while Trick-or-Treating with the kids if they'll be seen with you. Your coolness level will take a serious dip when you are running around with the dorky flashing reflector vest, but hey, are you try to get a workout or be a fashion plate? Get over it and get on the road!
Wonderful for Biking at night
I ride my bike early in the morning to catch a bus to get to work. There is one stretch of road that has no bike lanes, and no lights. Before wearing this vest the cars would go around me like they do in daylight. After putting on the vest, the cars started going clear across the white line to clear me.There is no way the drivers can miss you.

Pedalpalooza and a new food court

It was a delicious way to start the day, with a warm tortilla wrapped around eggs, potatoes, kielbasa, cheese and onion. Also shared a bowl of Drunken Ladle Soup (made with beer, pork, sausage, potato, carrot, onion and kale) from Speedi Gourmet,. They make it two ways -- with kielbasa or black beans -- and it's become the most popular item on the menu. **  I returned to the scene Friday morning, camera in hand, to snap these photos and try Speedi Gourmet's  breakfast burrito. with ground beef, onions and spices. As for our meal, we split a sandwich from Lunch Box Wizard -- pan-fried chicken with greens and a tonkatsu (brown) sauce served on a warm. Lebaneser Scrooge, a roll-up with vegan hummus and a puff pastry filled. Finally, tried a couple of small items from.
