It works GREAT, IF you understand it...
This tape works very very well. I've used it on my bicycle, as well as on a headlamp I use for camping (the headlamp is black, so I put a strip of this on it so that it will show up when I search for it using my little LED button light).I looked at this tape here on Amazon, and to my surprise, I saw some negative reviews stating that the tape is not reflective. In some cases, this is true (but these are cases that aren't actually representative of the product's intended use). Here is why: the tape is retroreflective. In technical terms this means that when light is shone on it, the light is reflected back along the incident path, irrespective of the angle of incidence. Translation: when you shine light on this tape, the light bounces back directly towards the source of the light. So please, after reading this, don't shine your fancy high output flashlight from the level of your waist and curse the tape for being defective. When testing how reflective this tape is,...
Used for low light situtations!
Awesome product. I use it on my motorcycle & bicycle helmets. Its sticky enough to stay on, but not permanently. I can always take it off without messing up the paint.
Bask in it's *reflective* glory
Yeah, this stuff works pretty darn well. I could tell even from hitting it with an LED keychain light in my dark apartment that the stuff lights right up under some pretty weak sources. As it turns out, with a little bit of care, you can get it to conform to a lot of different surfaces too. I got mine to conform to my motorcycle helmet perfectly. The roll size is good for small projects.

Works fine.
The only problem I had was resetting the Trip Meter (DST) because the instruction maunual is incorrect.Press and hold only the left side of the button for 3 seconds to reset DST to zero. TM (Trip Time) and AVS (Average Speed) will also be reset.
Love The Bike Computer
This is the second one I've had in 5 years which I think is a good thing. It's accurate and very helpful but a little complicated to use at first. Take time to read the instructions. You do have to set it to the size of tire on your bicycle to get accurate mileage readings, but there is a chart in the instructions to help you with that. It's great!
Worked well...while it worked
This unit is extremely easy to install (It took about 5 mins and attaches with electrical ties), and easy to set up. The instructions are intuitive and easy to follow. The numbers seem accurate enough for my purposes; the machine gives mileage to the thousandth of a mile.HOWEVER, it is not durable at all. While I was trying to slip the computer into the holster on the bike, it slipped from my hand and fell onto grass, and now it will not turn on. Luckily, at this price, I got my money's worth while it worked.

bright, efficient headlight
I've had mine for almost two years of heavy use. The light is very bright, providing a great deal of visibility and some illumination of the road in front, which is enough for the city, and batteries last a very long time. Most pleasingly, the mounting system is very durable and it seems likely that it will withstand several years of regular use. The unit appears to be impervious to rain. As with all of the gear I've purchased from Planet Bike, a superior level of design is evident. A good, basic LED headlight.
Very very good product ......at a very good price
Very good product .......bought it after reading the reviews on here . I was still a bit skeptical about the actual quality of light which would come out of this bicycle light ,but I was sure not dissapointed . The beam which comes out , is very bright and very focussed . It forms a small circle / elliptical shape on the light beam in front and very clear + bright .Has 2 modes - flashing and constant-onThe light can be seen ffrom a far distance away . The color of the light is white instead of yellow , so was easier to spot when far away . Like I said , its very bright and with the flashing mode , would definatly warn the drivers of your presence . A very good buy , you would not be dissapointed , go for it .Have not used the for the quick cam mount , just using it as a bike light on my handle bars .....
Well-designed and energy-efficient and mount is perfect
Some reviews have mentioned problems with the mount being too loose. That's not the case - the mount strap is adjustable and at its loosest setting out of the box. It retracts inward to tighten up, and there is a tab there to loosen it back up. I had no problems having a good, tight fit on my bike after adjusting the strap. The light is very bright and energy-efficient. In comparison, my previous equally-bright halogen headlight required two C batteries and lasted for a tiny fraction of the time.Overall excellent design.

Plenty of Light!
I've been skeptical about LED bicycle lights and have owned several that have been disappointing. But, The Dawn Patrol LED has outshone all the others. It actually puts out more light than my wifes halogen bike light. Not only is it bright, but it doen't take up much handle bar space and with the 3 AAA batteries, seems to be pretty light. It stays in the mount really well but can be quickly removed for other uses.
*Edit* Amazon replaced the light and this one is better!
*EDIT* October 29, 2011I finally got around to updating my review and wanted to let everyone know that Amazon replaced the light quickly and easily. No hassle. First return I have ever made to Amazon in all the years I have been an Amazon customer. But I found that they stand out when it comes to returning and replacing defective products too. Is it any wonder I love Amazon.com?OK, so I have been using this light a lot on my daily/nightly bike rides and I'm completely happy with this little wonder. The amount of light it puts out is more than adequate for me, but I do have good night vision anyway. One thing I really like is the width of the light beam which gives me more confidence riding at night. During the day I still use it because I want to be seen by car drivers. For this I use the blinking mode since I don't need a steady stream of light during the day. And the batteries last longer. The nubbin-type plastic lever that broke on the...
Bright and great for the value
Took this on my bike to Yosemite park. I mainly stayed on trail. Did not fall off, which is a common problem for some of the lights of similar design. Stayed in remote motel near Bodie and rode the bike in absolute darkness - it is bright bright !! Could easily see about 75+ feet. The light can be used as a torch if needed. Also works with rechargeable NiMH AAA battery. The blinking function is great for in-city rides. Will buy two more for my kids.Only con is there is some light scatter/reflection through the top part of transparent plastic(that covers the LEDsm not the black body) that creates some annoyance. Also you need to carry a small screw driver if you plan to change battery in the field.
