Beyond Satisfied
This bike computer, for the price, is by far the best on the market. How do I know? Because there is no other bike computer that boasts a name brand company, has as many features, and costs as little as this one! I made sure to read all the reviews on Amazon before I purchased this, and I find it disheartening that I was almost swayed to *not* buy it. Fortunately, I read between the lines of all the negative comments and figured their age and/or grammar explained why they had difficulties with the device. To start, almost everyone is correct in stating it's difficult to install; honestly, it is! The instructions suggest a 1mm distance between the magnet and the sensor, which basically means: as close as you can get it without the two pieces hitting! To achieve this, the task takes a considerable amount of fiddling, but once you find the right spot on the fork and spoke to where they come closest without hitting, you're golden. I spent about 10 minutes doing this. After...
Best Buy in a multifunction bike computer!
I've owned two of these and ridden in all 4 seasons, driving rain, blinding snow, and even the occasional sunny, warm day. I've never had a problem with either, and find them very easy to set up and calibrate, easy to use, and totally accurate, dependable and reliable. Under $10! Can't be beat! Ride on!!
Great Value
This device works great and it's only $9. It has speed which always shows on the screen plus you can display the odometer, a distance meter to the 1/100 of a mile, trip timer, temperature, average speed, maximum speed, calories, or fat calories. It has a couple of other features which display at all times such as whether you are increasing speed or descreasing which seem somewhat worthless sense I pretty much am aware of that anyway. It also shows a plus or minus sign to tell you if you are traveling above or below your average speed which for some reason I like. Additionally you can set it to scan where it will display each item for a few seconds then move on to the next. I like the fact that it pops right off the mounting bracket so I can take it with me to review the data after a long ride. I did notice that one review mentioned you cannot reset things such as distance, calories, etc. All items are easily cleared. The device has two buttons. The right button...

I was impressed...
As good as you'll find... It holds a deceptively large amount of small items. I have a topeak alien II, a cell phone, car key, tube patch, and small pump in mine. It is not pretty on the bike, but functional and secure. The best feature though is it's water resistance. I dumped my bike in a stream (rider error) and there was several minutes during which it was fully submerged. All of my items remained perfectly dry. It was worth every penny and then some.
nice large capacity bag, that attaches to the seat post with a damn RUBBER STRAP!!!
Made primarily of Denier Cordura, a heavy duty nylon, the Avenir Bigmouth is a fairly well built underseat bag, with over 100 cubic inches of capacity. For protection and easy cleaning, the bottom and lower half of the sides of the bag, are coated with a layer of plastic sheeting, which repels water, and helps to keep the contents from getting wet. Applying a little silicone spray, helps to loosen up the zippers. The bag has an adjustable strap that is used to secure it to the underside of the seat. The strap has lots of slack. The construction of bike seats varies, as some have springs below the seat, but there should be a way to make this system work. The rails and springs under the seat, will affect the angle that the bag hangs at, and this in turn affects how the bag is secured to the seat post. From the product description and photo, at one time this bag utilized a nylon strap and Velcro to secure the bag to the seat post. This unfortunately is...
Totes our stuff!
We bought this for a trip where we'd be out riding around near a lake (away from the rest of our gear). We needed a way to tote anything we could think of that we might need for our bikes, so a flat tire or something wouldn't put an end to our riding and put a start to our walking. We considered a backpack, but that seemed too large and bulky for the amount of stuff we needed to take. Besides, I don't want to personally carry anything that I can mount to a vehicle. We had looked at a few other bike specific bags, but chose this one because of its shape, quality of materials, and style of mounting (we looked at them all in person). It just straps around the under-seat bars and to the seatpost. The rear strap is adjustable and can be tightened in order to compress the bag a little so your stuff won't rattle. This bag is plenty large enough for all the things we needed, but it's not large enough to get in the way. What we put...

Plenty of Light!
I've been skeptical about LED bicycle lights and have owned several that have been disappointing. But, The Dawn Patrol LED has outshone all the others. It actually puts out more light than my wifes halogen bike light. Not only is it bright, but it doen't take up much handle bar space and with the 3 AAA batteries, seems to be pretty light. It stays in the mount really well but can be quickly removed for other uses.
Bright and great for the value
Took this on my bike to Yosemite park. I mainly stayed on trail. Did not fall off, which is a common problem for some of the lights of similar design. Stayed in remote motel near Bodie and rode the bike in absolute darkness - it is bright bright !! Could easily see about 75+ feet. The light can be used as a torch if needed. Also works with rechargeable NiMH AAA battery. The blinking function is great for in-city rides. Will buy two more for my kids. Only con is there is some light scatter/reflection through the top part of transparent plastic(that covers the LEDsm not the black body) that creates some annoyance. Also you need to carry a small screw driver if you plan to change battery in the field.
*Edit* Amazon replaced the light and this one is better!
*EDIT* October 29, 2011I finally got around to updating my review and wanted to let everyone know that Amazon replaced the light quickly and easily. No hassle. First return I have ever made to Amazon in all the years I have been an Amazon customer. But I found that they stand out when it comes to returning and replacing defective products too. Is it any wonder I love Amazon.com? OK, so I have been using this light a lot on my daily/nightly bike rides and I'm completely happy with this little wonder. The amount of light it puts out is more than adequate for me, but I do have good night vision anyway. One thing I really like is the width of the light beam which gives me more confidence riding at night. During the day I still use it because I want to be seen by car drivers. For this I use the blinking mode since I don't need a steady stream of light during the day. And the batteries last longer. The nubbin-type plastic lever that broke on the...

Cheap, effective visibility from the rear when you bike.
The purpose of any LED tail light is to make sure cars coming up behind you know you're there. The Planet Bike Blinky 3 does a fine job at that, stays put, has great battery life and doesn't cost much. You get two mounting options - a big cheap plastic clip for the seat post and a smaller clip for a rear side strut. I put mine on the seat post. In past years when I had a baby seat I would have used the side strut. You also get two settings - steady and blinking. That's the only negative in my book. I can't imagine using anything but blinking. This is pretty much a no brainer. My wife's has been through almost 8 years of abuse and has had only one battery change. I didn't think twice when it was time for my bike and my son's to get this safety enhancement. I now bike a lot during the late night. I haven't had a close call with a car coming up from my rear yet. Enough said. Update - 8 months later (6/5/09): I added a bike rack over my rear wheel...
Its ok but check your seat post first
Nice and bright, different flash settings, great visibility, mounting needs a little improvement. If there's one piece of advice I can give is check your seat-post before using this light. The seat-post is the ideal spot for placing this since you want the flashing to be as high as possible. Unfortunately my Raleigh SC40 has a seat shock post which is far too wide to use the mounting :( The rear forks also do not accomodate the mounting so there are precious few places this can be done. Unfurtunately, this means my flashing light is relegated to operate from a plastic bag dangling from my seat :(
safe, really safe
This rear light can be seen for BLOCKS!! A great feature is the clip--it can be either clipped onto its seat post attachment or to a piece of clothing, if you walk at night. Battery life on blink (which is IMO much safer than constantly on) is weeks, if not months. Small enough to easily fit into a pocket, if you need to take it with.
